Résumé
In the realm of organic chemistry, Lewis acids and bases are important chemical species that drive a myriad of chemical transformations. Their ability to accept and donate electron pairs, respectively, makes them invaluable in catalytic processes. In this work, we explore the synthesis and characterization of novel boron Lewis acids and Lewis bases utilizing the triptycene scaffold.
The intriguing structure and properties of triptycene derivatives have attracted significant interest across diverse areas of chemistry. By incorporating boron or nitrogen atoms into this unique three-dimensional framework, fascinating new scaffolds of Lewis acids and bases can be designed, offering opportunities to finely tune their electronic properties and steric parameters through the introduction of different substituents.
