As Alzheimer’s disease affects more and more people around the world, the development of information technology is making it possible to provide better care for these patients. Indeed, the technological progress of the last few years have made it possible to support these people and to relieve their carers, real pillars of the health system. In particular, more and more mobile applications are being developed to support patients in their fight against the disease. In this thesis, the application SmallBrother is presented, from the requirements analysis to the validation. Focusing on the specific interface requirements and the migration from Java to Kotlin, this thesis explores the development process of the application and its validation with a target audience, including elderly people affected by the Alzheimer’s disease, in order to assess its usability and the impact of this new tool in the fight against the disease.
