On the four-way crossing of music, machine learning, software engineering and responsible research

On Feb. 10, Prof. Cynthia Liem from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, will visit us at the computer science faculty. On this occasion, she will give a talk about her research from 13:00 to 14:00 at the Salle Académique, 4th floor of the Computer Science Faculty. The presentation (25 min.) will be followed by an informal Q&A and discussion session.

Prof. Cynthia Liem is an Associate Professor at the Multimedia Computing Group (https://www.cynthialiem.com/). She is an expert in trustworthy artificial intelligence, an active performing musician, and an advocate of public outreach. Her research focuses on validation and validity of data-driven systems, and on ways to keep 'that what is not obvious' within reach in a world of digital information overload. Prof. Liem has a strong inter and transdisciplinary research background, including machine learning and software engineering, music, and social sciences.
