Digital inclusion of people with disabilities is a topic that is gaining in popularity. Whether it is a social goal or a legal compliance, the accessibility of user interfaces contributes to a noble cause. Even if deafness does not escape the trend, it is, however, a less frequently explored subject. Indeed, there are no syntheses of recommendations in the literature to guide developers in the construction of user interfaces adapted to the deafness. This master thesis studies, on the one hand, a series of recommendations and, on the other hand, their application on a concrete project. Thanks to a methodology combining literature analysis and software engineering practices such as requirements elicitation, prototyping or user testing, a ready-to-use checklist of 100 recommendations has been produced. This checklist was applied to the development of a contextual web dictionary translating into French LSFB signs captured by user webcams. The results obtained are now helping to fill this gap in recommendations and show the feasibility of their application in a concrete project.
