International Day of Women and Girls in Science at UNamur
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science takes place every 11th of February, following the declaration by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 22nd of December 2015. It aims at promoting the access of women and girls to science and technology as well as their full and fair participation. This event reminds the important role of women in the scientific community. It constitutes a great opportunity to encourage girls and young women to participate in the scientific developments.

- Prof. Catherine Linard, Professor at the Geography Department
- Dr Angéline Reboul, Researcher at the Biology Department
- Mrs Fatima Amarir, PhD student at the Veterinary Medicine Department
- Prof. Isabelle Parmentier, Full Professor at the History Department, First Vice-Rector, in charge of Diversity and Gender

An initiative by Lorena Ballesteros Ferraz, Aishwarya Saxena, and Sébastien R. Mouchet from the Science Faculty (Departments of Physics and Biology)- early career researchers concerned about questions related to diversity and equality in general, and specifically in science and research.
