If we look at the Universe history, from its very beginning to present times, we notice a series of puzzling mysteries: Why is our Universe accelerating right now? Do the black holes really exist? Why Cosmic Microwave Background temperatures are so homogeneous? Why the Universe geometry is so flat?... The lore paradigm for describing large scale Universe is general relativity, which however does not seem to explain all these peculiarities on its own. In my talk, I will revisit the Universe history in the light of theories beyond general relativity, i.e. in the framework of modified gravity.
